Carony® System
Transform your travel experience with a seamless transfer system that eliminates heavy lifting. The Carony® allows a person to transfer effortlessly between the car and the wheelchair base without ever leaving their seat—ensuring maximum comfort, safety, and dignity on every journey.
How to Use the Carony® System
1. Swivel Seat Outward
Rotate the vehicle swivel base toward the open car door until it extends fully outward, positioning the user comfortably for the transfer.
2. Dock the Wheelchair Base
Bring the lightweight Carony wheel chassis up to the vehicle and align it directly with the swivel base rails.
3. Connect & Secure
Lock the chassis securely to the swivel base until the built-in docking mechanism engages firmly into place.
4. Slide the Seat Across
Effortlessly glide the entire seat—with the user safely seated—along the integrated rails from the car base directly onto the wheelchair chassis.
5. Ready to go
Disconnect the chassis from the vehicle base. Attach the footrests, and the Carony is instantly ready for use as a standard or powered wheelchair.

Transfer Seat
Designed for comfort and safety, this mobile seating unit allows the user to transfer smoothly from the wheelbase to the car’s swivel base without standing.
Wheelbase Chassis
Combined with the seat, this mobile wheelbase transforms into the complete Carony wheelchair system.
Swivel Car Base
The swivel base replaces the standard vehicle seat and rotates outward, enabling the Carony seat to dock directly with the wheelbase.

Effortless Transfers: Slides seamlessly between the wheelbase and car swivel base without any heavy lifting.
Fold-Away Handles with Disc Brakes: Integrated carer handles fold flat into the seat when inside the vehicle; features dual rear disc brakes and a temporary hold switch.
Full Ergonomic Adjustability: Customizable headrest, lumbar support, armrests, seat depth, and recline for maximum posture support.
Caregiver-Friendly Controls: All docking levers are grouped at seat level for easy, strain-free operation.
Smooth, Safe Ride: Premium 16″ wheels with reflective sidewalls for added visibility and safety.
Carony® Classic
Lift-Free Vehicle Transfer: The car seat slides directly between the vehicle’s swivel base and the wheelchair chassis, completely eliminating manual lifting for caregivers.
12″ or 24″ Wheel Options: Choose 12″ wheels for caregiver pushing or 24″ wheels for independent self-propulsion.
Configurable Brake Placement: Brake lever can be mounted on either the left or right side depending on preference and user need.
Capacity: Supports a maximum user weight of up to 100 kg.
Height Adjustment: Uses an integrated manual crank to align the docking height (350–450 mm) precisely with the vehicle’s swivel base.

Crash Tested
To ensure design safety, the products undergo crash testing in accordance with regulatory standards such as ECE R17, ISO 10542, and ISO 7176.
Environmental Test
To ensure durability and reliability, the product is tested against UV exposure, corrosive elements, and temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.
Life cycle test
To closely simulate everyday use throughout a complete life cycle, the product is tested at 120% of its maximum load capacity.
EMC test
In compliance with ECE R10, the product's electronics are tested to ensure they neither cause nor suffer from electromagnetic interference.
